Founded in 2018, San Diego Outreach Synagogue (SDOS) is an independent congregation, committed to exploring unique pathways to accessible Judaism through prayer, music, education, community service and friendship. Our goal is to help you discover your own Jewish voice.

We are carefully and safely transitioning back to mostly in-person services, programs, and classes.  Many of our offerings will also continue to be offered online either via Zoom or Live-Streaming. To sustain and expand our unique congregation, we invite you to support us by becoming an SDOS member or renewing your current membership.  Your membership will help us cover operating expenses such as: facility rental, musicians, security services, printing, publicity, food/beverages, insurance, clergy and more. SDOS offers musical Shabbat services and dinners, holiday celebrations, educational classes (discounted for members) and community service projects. We anticipate adding new programs to serve the needs and interests of our members as our budget allows.

We look forward to welcoming you to our IN-PERSON HIGH HOLY DAYS SERVICES, which will be held on Tuesday morning, September 7; Wednesday evening, September 15; and Thursday morning, September 16 at the beautiful Unity Center in Mira Mesa. Livestreaming of these services will also be available. Online study sessions are also being planned for these holidays.
 
This year, we are combining Membership with High Holy Days tickets. The requested donation for one Adult Membership will be $400 and will include one High Holy Days ticket. PAY BEFORE AUGUST 1ST AND PAY ONLY $360. Membership is per fiscal year (7/1/21-6/30/22) and may be paid in one or two installments. (Membership is also available for $249 to those who do not wish to join us for High Holy Days.) Please note that we welcome support at any level that you can contribute; membership is open to all, regardless of financial situation. Membership is free for children and students up to age 26.  

SDOS is dedicated to making all our services and programs accessible to all people in our community, and we hope you will join us on this journey.  We look forward to sharing many exciting and inspiring events with you this coming year.  We thank you for helping support this inclusive, alternative Jewish community!
