A week before Yom Kippur, my car was hit from behind on the freeway, spun out of control, then flipped over. (PLEASE ALWAYS WEAR A SEATBELT) Miraculously, God heard my prayers to save my life and I survived. On the High Holy Days we implore God to listen to our prayers, but are we human beings even listening to each other?
